How I feed a crowd 🍽️ My extended family is quite How I feed a crowd 🍽️
My extended family is quite large with 14 hungry mouths to feed. There are toddlers and tweens right through to teens and adults, with a mixture of vegetarians and meat-lovers.
When it was my turn to cook family dinner, I roasted two butterflied tandoori chickens, cooked a massive pot of the delicious masoor dal from @teaforturmeric and served it with basmati rice and roti bread.
Dessert was my favourite chocolate olive oil cake from @smittenkitchen and an almond sheet cake.
We washed this all down with homemade lemon and boysenberry cordial (loosely based# on my cherry cordial recipe.)
Happy tummies all around 🫶

Sunday’s bake was this delicious oaty slice, which Sunday’s bake was this delicious oaty slice, which is always such a hit in our house.
With a crispy, coconutty oat base and a chocolate topping, you won’t believe how easy it is to throw together, and it is honestly, soooooo good!

This is my current fave: a one-pot chocolate brownie made entirely with pantry ingredients. It’s a cakey brownie, tastes delicious, transports well and is soooo easy to make.
Need I say more?
The recipe is from @chelseasugarnz (I’ll pin the link in the comments.)

My daughter helped me cook dinner tonight, and we My daughter helped me cook dinner tonight, and we wanted something tasty to go with the chilli soy pork leftover from the other night.
We decided to make an old favourite from Jamie Oliver’s ‘5 Ingredients’ cookbook; Korean eggs & rice. Kimchi and coriander elevate this simple dish so it bursts with flavour.
We paired ours with green beans (always haha,) carrot curls, extra kimchi for me, and a generous spoonful of the saucy pork.
This was really good, and exactly what we felt like today x
